If you or someone you are with is experiencing vision loss or has undergone eye trauma, call our office immediately. We’ll be able to provide information about next steps. 

In the event we are unavailable, seek immediate medical attention at your nearest emergency department.

Signs & Symptoms of an Eye Emergency

Experiencing any of the following symptoms could indicate an ocular emergency: 

  • Vision loss
  • Pupils of mismatched size
  • Eye pain
  • Bulging eyes
  • Bleeding from eye area
  • Burning
  • Stinging
  • One eye not moving like the other
  • Discharge from the eye
  • Double vision

Eye Emergency Examples

If you experience any of the following situations, it’s time to seek emergency assistance:

  • Foreign object stuck in eye
  • Burn
  • Chemical contact
  • Cut or scratch
  • Trauma to the eye area
