Leading the Way in Contact Lens Care

Plenty of people with refractive errors dream about going glasses-free. Contact lenses are a great alternative if you’ve ever wanted to set aside the spectacles.

Contact lenses provide convenience and natural vision correction. At Family Focus Eye Care, we have lenses to suit every individual.

If you’ve ever wanted to try contact lenses, we can help. Even if you’ve been told in the past that you can’t wear contacts or you have “hard-to-fit eyes,” chances are good we’ll be able to get you into a pair of lenses.

Book an appointment for a contact lens exam and fitting today.

Look No Further than Family Focus for Contact Lenses

Contact lenses can be used to change your eye color, make a frame-free fashion statement, or provide convenience while playing sports. But, it’s important to remember that they are medical devices

Since they sit on the surface of your eye, contact lenses need to fit correctly to ensure comfort and safety. A contact lens exam and fitting is similar to a regular eye exam but with a few extra steps.

Expect to be asked some questions about your lifestyle. Your answers help us determine the best type of lenses for you. Maybe you’re a better fit for daily contacts, or perhaps monthly lenses will be a better choice for your activities.

We’ll also take some measurements and examine the surface of your cornea using corneal topography. If something is going to sit on the surface of your cornea, we need to be sure we understand the unique characteristics of your eyes.

Thorough Exams Provide Comfort

Our contact lens exams are thorough, particularly if we’re fitting you for your first pair. But we also recommend that contact lens wearers have annual exams to ensure continued comfort and maintain ocular health.

Contact lens wear can lead to dry eye disease. We use meibography to closely examine the small, oil-secreting glands that line the eyelid margins. These glands, called meibomian glands, can contribute to dry eye disease if they’re blocked.

People who wear contact lenses can have reduced meibomian gland function. Meibography helps us diagnose any dry eye issues that may be associated with contact lens wear so you can go glasses-free in comfort.

Selecting the Right Lens for Your Unique Eyes

After an exam, we’ll set you up for success with your new contact lenses. We’ll provide you with a trial pair to ensure the fit is just right and train you on proper methods of insertion, removal, and cleaning. Ongoing instruction is always available, and extra advice is free of charge!

Sometimes, certain eye conditions or vision issues require specialty contact lenses. Whether you have astigmatism or need bifocals, we carry a wide range of specialty lenses.

The team at Family Focus Eyecare has the expertise to provide contact lens recommendations for almost every eye. From children to seniors, we have the lenses for you.

Come for a contact lens fitting today, and let us help you leave the glasses behind.
